I’ve heard circular are better because a soundwave is a circle but oval has better sound. I’m thinkin 6.5 in the front and 6X8 in the back. Is that a good idea?

Optimally, a circular speaker is superior however with car audio all bets are off.
The car audio environment is the toughest to overcome acoustically. As already stated, oval speakers create better bass response due to their increased surface area. A lot of auto makers purposely use the oval speaker sizes on the rear deck with that in mind.
Your speaker size combination looks fine - are those the original sizes for your vehicle? If so, go with it … they’ve spent more time in the design then I could ever explain.
A circle is better, but a 6×8 or 6×9 will produce more bass. The oval will produce more bass because it has a larger surface area.
But every speaker has a circle voice coil. So a 6.5inch circle speaker is attached to a circular pole/voice coil as is an oval speaker.
when the circle speaker moves in and out, the whole speaker has an equal force on the rubber surround/basket. But a oval speaker has a different force on 4 parts of the speaker, that is at the shortest distances and the longest distances from the center of the speakers cone to the rubber surround/basket.
so all in all a 6.5 is more efficient at reproducing clearer sound
Honestly it probably doesn’t make a difference, its all about the quality of the speaker. Not the shape
A 6×9 speaker will typically produce lower bass than a 6.5 speaker of the same brand.
